Thank you to all my wonderful clients for making 2010 an amazing year! It flew by — I feel like my first wedding of the year was just a few weeks ago. Looking through my shoots brings back many memories…. getting knocked over by a horse carrying a groom, wrapping up a reception at 2am and waking up minutes later for a 7:30am getting ready and ceremony in the rain the following day, absolutely hilarious comedian grooms, tuning in to Car Talk while inching along the Long Island Expressway, shooting in temperatures so hot I couldn’t see through the sweat on the camera (nasty!), shooting in temperatures so cold I couldn’t feel the camera I was holding, making my periodic pilgrimage to the Nikon service center on Long Island, adopting a kitten on a whim after an engagement shoot, going way over the number of miles allotted on my lease, having a bride text to ask if I might be interested in dating one of her bridesmaids , … etc etc etc…… what a year!

Thanks again to all those I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and thank you to all those who read this blog from every continent around the world! 2011 is shaping up to be another great year with weddings from the Poconos all the way out to Shelter Island with everything in between. I get started in less than 2 weeks!

I love the feel of a late fall engagement session in New York. The UWS was full of energy as the NYC Marathon was in full swing. After strolling down Central Park West, we took a few pix in the park and then swung over to Lincoln Center. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year!

It was a walk in the park shooting with Jessica & Ryan… they were such naturals at this! We started on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and then took a stroll through Central Park which was looking particularly lush. Looking forward to their wedding next year….

Nancy & Julio : Engagement : Hoboken, NJ

I met up with Nancy and Julio in Hoboken at the site of their first date!.. Maxwell’s Grill. Little did we know a pair of tornadoes would pass through the area but we still managed to have some fun despite the storm. Check back next month for their wedding!

There are few views of New York like the one from Hoboken, NJ. Nestled between the Empire State Building and Battery Park, it’s about as good as it gets. Lianne and Robert braved the June heat to take their engagement pictures here and I think it came out great!
